Acne New Season

Really glad to see the new season stock from Acne on Matches yesterday, and WOW the collection is amazing. Already I have built my wish list for the upcoming months with lots of the Swedish companies new season stock.

Acne has always been a staple designer in my wardrobe, I mean their jeans are simply incomparable to other brands whose denim has worn thin over time and eventually lost the true colour when washed.

So have a look at the new collection and see what you think. The ‘Pistol’ boots are simply to die for, taking you into the autumn season perfectly. But of course you need something nice to wear them with, so why not try the Acne ‘with you’ silk collarless dress. It’s gives you a painstakingly cool look that’s perfect for the autumn months.

So here are my favourite picks from the new collection. Enjoy.

Darling Zig Zag Print Dress - £240

Hero Leather Boots - £510

Pistol Short Boots - £370

Romantic Stripe Skirt - £320

Velocite Leather and Shearling Jacket - £1620

With You Silk Collarless Dress - £290

Wonder New Cotton T-Shirt - £70

Zorah Stripe Tunic - £190

Dior Couture - Spring/Summer 2011: Re-Post

This is a re-post but it's such a shame to see what Dior has lost with Galliano. Definitely my favourite Couture show of all time. The beauty of the clothing, the emotion of the music its the epitome of Dior. Will there be anything like this again from the French fashion house?

OH LA LA MRS HINCE

How fabulous does Kate Moss look for August’s edition of British Vogue? Not only has the worlds most sought after supermodel managed to plan a wedding she has still managed to juggle her modelling career, and continuously produce stunning photographs. Shot by Mario Testino (her wedding photographer) Kate has been styled in that 1940’s trend that is going to be huge this autumn.

Pierre Balmain And Those Iconic Pieces

There is good news for all the Balmain lovers out there. The French Fashion House has announced that they are launching a diffusion line called Pierre Balmain.  Expect knitwear, tailoring and denim for both men and women at a fraction of the cost. Prices start from £104.00 for a t-shirt to £798.00 for eveningwear, which in comparison to their normal prices is exceptionally affordable. The bad news is that you should not expect the line to launch until December 2011. But as always and in true Balmain fashion it co-insides with Christmas, so expect many fashion hungry women adding last minute Balmain pieces to their Christmas wish lists.

We see Pierre Balmain as a new and distinct brand that is inspired by the successes and history of a great house, but offers a look and product that respond to the needs and desires of today's marketplace” explains the chairman of the company. While his goal, is to simply globalise the company and establish it in the international marketplace.

So while we wait for this diffusion line to launch, ill show you the iconic Balmain pieces that got me obsessed with this French fashion house. December could not come sooner in my opinion.
