Louis Vuitton Menswear Spring/Summer 2012

Have a quick delve at Louis Vuitton for Men's Fashion Week. The overall look was very sailor- esque, with the models wearing blazers, ties and shirts all put together with large holdalls emphasising that theme of travel.
While the colour scheme displayed blues, whites and reds, showing tradition and nothing too extrovert.

This was the debut show for the newest designer of the company, Kim Jones who kept the ambiance of the show very casual and preppy. But although the clothing was preppy, it showed the highest yet easiest form of style, something that many men would be able to pick up on exceptionally quickly. For a quick Vuitton Fashion Week fix think varsity and bomber jackets, but for Jones’ expert style add a scarf tightly twisted and then looped round the neck, it works in so many ways.

Here are a few images from backstage, while the video explores the clothing of the main show.

10 Agent Provocateur Summer Sale Must Haves

For those who don’t already know, the Agent Provocateur summer sale started this week, and it’s already begun to set temperatures soaring with its unique styles of erotic, yet utterly tasteful styles of lingerie. Expect to find bras and knickers in a variety of colours, styles and fabrics, perfect for everyday wear. Or alternatively if you are trying to impress that special someone with something special, I’m certain that you will find something to allure his or her darkest fantasies. But alas if you are not needing to impress and you already have the right colour lingerie, you can also indulge in the sexy, yet utterly smouldering figure hugging dresses, or the delicate little basques that are guaranteed to raise eyebrows from any male, or even play dress up with silk knitted all in one body suits. If this still does not appeal to you, then you can also choose a pair of stylish silk pyjamas that will give you an elegant yet classic boudoir look. So treat yourself or your spouse this summer, after all the look on someone’s face when wearing Agent Provocateur is certainly something worth remembering.

Here are ten of my summer sale must haves, although picking ten was incredibly hard so definitely choose wisely!

Ascot 2011

Ascot has traditionally been about the racing, but in the last few years, I believe the focal point of Ascot has shifted from racing to fashion. Every woman who attends Ascot tries to have an ostentatious hat that will out do every other woman there. Yes admittedly some do get it wrong, but some women do get it so right and completely steal the limelight from the horses. Milliner Stephen Jones was among the commentators this year, telling us which women got it right, and what seemed to be the fashion trend of this racing year. Here are a few of the hats from this year’s races. Katherine Jenkins wore one of my most memorable styles. The red complimented her skin tone beautifully while the feathers in it looked stunning. She looked absolutely flawless for a woman who had just jumped off a flight from America. While other personal favourites were images number 2, 3 and 4. I thought the black feathers in image number 4 were absolutely mind-blowing, it showed such beautiful structure. But with the good comes the bad, and some people took it as far as adorning their hats with IPad’s and Iphone’s. Something that caused a statement, but definitely for all the wrong reasons.

Versace for H&M

The lovely Donatella Versace has created a design line for high-street store H&M.  Following in the footsteps of Jimmy Choo, Karl Largerfeld and Lanvin, Donatella's line will be available in 300 stores from the 17 November 2011. As Christopher Kane has designed the Versus label for Donatella, I am praying that she gets him on board too. Expect the traditional Versace look, so therefore lots of colour, leather and prints for the women and sharp tailoring for men. Here is a sneak preview of this forthcoming line.
