Cynthia Rowley - Spring/Summer 2012

Yesterday the catwalk came alive at Cynthia Rowley. Shown were floral prints, sparkling gold hues and remarkable textures.

Rowley displayed dramatic silk floral printed jackets in a pearlescent shade of white along with back floral leggings giving an optimal contrast, in the most stylish of ways. Also shown were structured hourglass shaped dresses, again with this floral printing. I particularly like the attention to detail that Rowley has when it comes to printing, as even the most simplistic of dresses in the collection, look extremely elegant and stylised to an exceptional standard.

The show then switches to the colour gold and this becomes the main feature. It’s luxurious and exotic. Favourite pieces of mine from this collection are that gold and black printed dress. This dress is simply unbelievable, and again emphasises Rowley’s attention to detail and her exquisite flair for prints.

As the collection develops, Rowley brings in flashes of orange, red and a return to the floral printing for leggings, dresses and smock style tops. But the main colours of this catwalk collection remain simplistic. There are lots of blacks and whites, as it shows tradition and a smart way of dressing.

While front row wise expect to see Miss Lindsey Lohan, Miss Alexa Chung and Ms Kelly Rutherford all in true fashionista style.
