While many designers have chosen to use floral printing on their clothing for the spring transition, Herrera decided upon canary style birds. This showed us the playful side of her collection. Herrera brought fun and frivolity to the catwalk, but with the utmost style.
Again we see those thin leather belts hoisting in the towering models tiny waists, and I can predict that these belts will now be a staple item in our wardrobes. For me though, it was all about that final outfit. A beautiful yet classic grass coloured dress with intricate beading for decoration. It was the perfect way to end the show.
“Fashion has to have details and it's a way of doing them in a very simple way that they look effortless that's what fashion should be: effortless and fun.” This is the response that Herrera had for her collection, and yes she certainly brought the fun and pleasure back to dressing for this season.
While Front row wise you had the first lady of fashion Mrs Anna Wintour, who was unusually sitting next to Nicki Minaj. Also Rene Zellweger, Olivia Munn and Corinne Bailey Rae were also in attendance.
