For this collection Lanvin reverted back to formality. Dress wise expect to find soft draped dresses in colours of taupe, citrine and ivory. Delicate little dresses made up of fringing, tweed apple green shift dresses, with frayed matching hats and maxi dresses with thigh high splits set the tone for this collection.
My favourite piece of this pre collection was a military style tweed jacket. Worn with skinny fitting rolled up trousers and heels, Elbaz shows us the versatility for a day or night look. With this, Elbaz proves that a formal collection can also be practical.
Taupe jumpsuits accessorised with tan leather belts, were on my immediate wish list taking you from day to evening by simply adding some large accessories and some killer heels. While Elbaz was definitely not lacking in printing for this resort collection. He brought together bold styled print trousers and jackets with the help of some John Lennon style glasses and of course strappy heels.
But last but not least another of my favourite designs were the wedding dresses. The way that Elbaz incorporates these into his collection can only be described as extraordinary. His maxi style one-shouldered dress, which is hitched in at the waist, gave the perfect ending to his collection, and of course giving you the perfect dress for your summer wedding.
